Your feelings are valid!

Heyyy as we move through this week and different feelings come up, know that your feelings are valid and you matter.


Your feelings deserve exploration. That looks like moving past the point of acknowledgment to begin to question the feeling. Why am I upset? Was it the principle or the person? If it was the principle, where and how was the principle established? Is the principle rooted in biblical truth? If it was a person, why do they matter so much to me? What did I want their response to be? And why?


Exploring our feelings is what some people refer to as processing. Without processing, we grow more and more agitated and we suppress, eventually leading to an overwhelming response in an unwarranted situation.


Let’s work this week to process and explore our feelings versus suppressing and denying them.

Focus!!!

Where have you found your thoughts this week? Many great philosophers and evangelists alike have concluded that where we focus, our energy goes. Where our energy goes implies that; that is where we will derive our actions from. We may think we are making all the right outward moves to change our patterns but the truth is, if we do not get a hold of our thoughts we will eventually stray back to those old habits.
